The Port of Grangemouth, Scotland has selected Visy to design and deliver the gate system for the port’s container terminal. Grangemouth is Scotland's largest container port, serving both the Glasgow and Edinburgh Metropolitan Regions. The new gate system operates on the Visy Access Gate application for terminal wide process management. The system includes high resolution damage inspection portals which capture images, license plates and container ID’s for all vehicles entering and exiting the container terminal. The system also includes a dynamic display board call forward system for vehicles once they have entered the terminal. Each operational booth at the entry and exit area includes Visy IRIS for license plate recognition to enhance the check-in process. The Visy Access Gate system reduces time per transaction, helps mitigate damage claims, increases safety and security on the terminal.
